I changed our template to this new one in FAITH BELIEVING FOR RAIN! We need both Spiritual and PHYSICAL Rain!  Pray for South Dakota especially the southeast corner. The crops are in desperate shape around us.

Hope House Update

Please PRAY for a young man by the name of Richard. He came into the office here at work. He's homeless, battles depression and anxiety and needs a place to go. I will be taking him to Hope House after work today. Pray he finds what he needs in Jesus and deliverance from the tormenter.

 Looks like I'm doing shuttle ministry today. One of our ladies who now lives here in SF needs to go back to Wagner so she's riding back with me. Guess God provided a "chaperone" for me with Richard, the young man I'm taking to Wagner to stay at Hope House Recovery Center (if he shows back up here at the office by 4:30 pray he does, he needs ministering to and deliverance and for us not to scare the socks off of him)

 Well, we got Richard here at Wagner at Hope House. Pray for him that he will relax and let the Lord lead him through his valley. He is wound up tighter than a pocket watch. There are also 5 men there so Richard has to sleep in the common area unless one of the guys doesn't straighten up and stop drinking. If he doesn't stop drinking, he won't be allowed back and thus Richard will get his space. ALSO pray we can get some twin beds, dressers and/or chest of drawers donated to Hope House. Electric bills are eating up our donations as well as water bills. Pray we can get the shower installed and we also need more bedding (twin sheets, blankets, pillows), towels, laundry soap, men's under ware, socks, tee shirts, jeans, Anything a recovery center could use. This is a vital ministry and much needed. Tomorrow I hope to get some "healthy" food purchased for the men to cook and get them started on some much needed "structure". Do some "chore" assignments for the rest of the month. Praying Tim can start getting some side jobs for the men to do that can pay a little to them. They DON'T WANT HAND OUTS. But finding work around here is difficult. Ben has his bicycle project going strong so that keeps him busy! So again, PRAY FOR RICHARD as he adjust to his surroundings and doesn't bale. He's looking for "something" and needs the PEACE OF JESUS.

 Richard hasn't been eating very much for a long time and had not eaten all day today SO we took him to A-1 for dinner. He ate a Swiss melt with onion rings and loved it. Now we go to town tomorrow to buy some healthy food for Hope House and work on a "cooking" schedule with those who actually know how to cook. Thanks for your prayers for him to sleep like a baby tonight and to have peace of mind. Good night.

Six men at Hope House at this time. Pray for one of them, Warren, he may be having to move out as he started drinking again. Keep Richard in lots of prayer. Hope to get a good report from him today that he slept well and is adjusting to his surroundings.

God is on the Move & we're moving with Him

  Ben rides his bike at least 2 or 3 times a week “30″ miles! He is amazing.

The guys at Hope House are really working there to get the place set up and bi-fold doors back up to house 5 men with their own private room. 4 full timers there now.

Lauren, Ben and Tim came up with a plan to get a shower and washer/dryer hook up put in and still have 2 toilet rooms. Now to get it done. A new man came in last night (Friday March 23, 2012) and was pretty sick still today.  Pray for him, last name “Jealous of Him” from another reservation.  He suffers with Epilepsy.  Also keep praying for NOAH.  He came back to church last Sunday.  Ben invited him.

It has been an amazing start to 2012. First, we've had virtually NO winter and it has been wonderful.  Now here we are at the close of February! Where is the time going? It's just way too fast for this ole gal. We are experiencing great things in the ministry and wait for even more outbreaks of God's greatness in the lives of so many AND OURS.  The Hope House is on steady feet now and we are getting ready to begin full fledged promotion of the ministry and believing God to expand to a women's center.  This is something greatly needed as well.  Our greatest concern are the fuel prices for travel to raise funds.  Seems like Mr. Obama is working overtime to get us to that $5 per gallon gasoline price which hurts us all deeply.  Oh well, we won't even get off on that subject as God is our source and our provider; but He does expect us to share His calling.  

Well, I'm trying hard to learn how to manage the website and new software and other stuff that stretches me way out of my comfort zone.  Oh to have someone near who has the time to help this woman with the creative stuff.  I view other blogs and think "HOW DID THEY DO THAT".  And dream!  OK, I've updated a little, click HERE to view our current newsletter and update.  Want to come up with a new tithe other than "newsletter" or "update" wanna help me out, suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Keep them simple though.  OK, have a blessed evening and know that JESUS LOVES YOU and His mercies are new every morning, Great is HIS faithfulness!

Tim with the delight of all our lives ROZ. She has grown so much and carries on a conversation like you wouldn't believe! We found out too at Christmas we are going to have a second Great Grand in August. Roz is going to be a big Sister!

Life is just flying past!

Here we are already at the 31st of January 2012! What happened to 2011? I remember what we did, I just can't believe it has come and gone! Our Christmas Celebration was a most awesome success. Some 182 people (124 kids) rest adults and lots of gifts and an amazing Christmas Program. Our beautiful "Mary" in the program.
Then there's Hope House Lodge, the Birth of a men's recovery center. Five men there pretty much all the time. Our hearts rejoice every time we see Lauren and what God is doing in his life. And Ben. Top left is Ben and his grand son. Next is Lauren and his grand daughter and then there is Tim and Lauren. Such great testimonies.
